Last Week; My grandmother aged 81yrs was brutally raped by a very young 22 yr old boy at Kerala; India. By Gods grace and power she overcame death and was hospitalized. The FIR was filed and case investigation is progressing now.
Till yesterday what I was watching in the news horrific incidents like 5mnth baby rape; school girl rape; gang rape; celebrity rape..all this was a news only. But when it reached our own home premises we felt the deadly pain and the agony of it breaking our hearts and our eyes in tears. Our family couldn't sleep for many nights at the very thought our dearest grandma being raped that too she being a virgin.(She is my mothers sister. My mothers mother died at an early age so she is like an own mother to my mom!) Can you beleive your ears that tomorrow this plight can occur at your doorstep. The new generation doesn't fear the Lord. Either they are unaware or they are doing it purposely. God has given visions of the hell and its fires to many of our saints including Saint Faustina. There you cry and repent you will not get ANY help. It's here in this EARTH that you should cry & repent then only the doors of heaven will be open to you after your departure.
Well! In my childhood days I studied one year at a boarding school lead by catholic sisters. The way they trained us were harsh of course. I was 6 yrs old but we used to recite the entire rosary on our knees . It was very strict. We said prayers before meals; after meals; before sleep etc what not almost in 24/7 there were prayers in every section of our daily routine. But this training inscribed in our hearts we have to fear the Lord and pray. What's happening in our homes today?!
We can understand the fact that the job times are different for the spouses. They cannot find time to pray together. Atleast before you go to sleep can't the family find 5min to kneel together in prayer and go to sleep. Oh How happy Jesus would be to witness that He would be filled with Joy!
By doing so; our children the future world will see that there is something we need to fear in this world afterall and fear when they go wrong. No child is born a criminal. Its the surroundings where he grows that nutures him into what he becomes tomorrow.
Lets impart prayers and the fear of our Lord into our Children. Let them learn seeing our good deeds. Sharing a small incident.
One day I was doing a leg massage for mother in law who was tired after her daily chores. My son 4yr old who was playing there saw me. Immediately he did the same to my father in law. The tears of happiness that filled the hearts of us were unspeakable. Yes! this is what we should impart to our children. Children are innocent we can mould them to good human beings easily by setting an example teaching them about Jesus.
Education is necessary but spiritual growth of children is the most important so that tommorow they do not commit crimes like what happend to my grandma.
Lets pray for the new gen kids who have already lost their way and wandering away from God already building up their sack of sins. Lets pray for their transformation. (Through Divine Mercy Prayer)
Lets pray and set examples for our little children in our own ways as much as possible.
