IMAM or HARAM?

An incident happend today at my work place which left me bewildered with a heavy heart and wierd horrible headache...

I felt i need to share this to the public as an awareness..

I was having lunch with my colleague at the mess room in the yard area behind our office.

The Imam of the nearby mosque normally comes daily to dine @ our office yard messroom.
*** An Imam (/ɪˈmɑːm/; Arabic: إمام‎‎ imām, plural: أئمة aʼimmah) is the name of an Islamic leadership position. It is most commonly used as the title of a worship leader of a mosque ).

There was another elderly employee of our company a chacha who was also dining there.
This chacha commented something to the IMAM. (In a funny manner...but something which the Imam didnt like)

The IMAM immediately jumped from his place removed his slippers in an action to beat the elderly person fiering with rage.
Moreover whatever words that were coming out of his mouth were cheap and fully indecent hindi words abusing the chacha.
For a moment I was shocked! !!
I couldnt believe my ears or my eyes.

The chacha also felt angry and they both were almost literally fighting holding hands.

A worship leader or an imam is supposed to be the leader who should respect others; respect fellow beings; correct the people following wrong path; respect the people having food with him; moreover respect women and the surroundings.

It is justified as a human anyone can get angry. The chacha is almost the age of the imam's father.
He should have shown respect and even if the comments hurt him he could have spoken softly and made him understand that what he was saying what not right rather than behaving this way.
I can't beleive that the UAE govt.is paying huge salary; good accodmmodation and free food for this kind of ruthless imams.
With the same toungue they praise Allah on the other side they are doing this..

I respect all religions but this act by an worship leader is very unacceptable. Religions should not be manipulated in this way.
I was shocked and still not out of it totally.

A normal human being would have behaved in a far better way  than this IMAM who acted just  like a local street goon.
Its a pity that people go to the same mosque where this Imam recites the holy Quran.

God please forgive these people as they do not know what they are doing !!!!

Feeling so upset..! Heavy hearted!-- 13.09.2017

  1. Hi dear ..
I agree with you that leaders must be a good examples to their people & to all. However, we all are human beings, and non are perfect no matter what. The emam should've had a positive reaction towards the stupid funny comment from what so called chacha! And in Islam we have many examples by our prophet Mohamad may peace be upon him, & many other Muslim figures since many many years a go up till present time. Many people turned to Islam because of the good & positive conduct of many Muslim scholars & individuals. This is what Allah ordered us to do & be as best representatives to this great religion as we can be.
For every religion, there are the good & the bad ones. And I believe the good are the majority & the bad are the few all over the world. If I were to share an incident, I'd rather share a good & positive incident that will bring peace, love & acceptance of each other to human kind. Sharing stories that will only lead to hate, anger, separation and probably violence and giving a bad image about a tribe or a group of specific religion is as bad as saying a whole box of apples is bad because it has one bad apple, but the truth is the whole box of apples is good even though it has one bad apple. You blame the Muslim scholar for his reaction & the chacha is the one who started throwing the bad comment on the scholar.
Let us all clear our hearts from evel feelings & trust that love & kindness will payback in a better way.
Binu, I'm sure you had good intentions when you shared such an incident, but I can't hide my disappointment for such a post.
May Allah clear our hearts from all bad feelings towards all human beings & replace them with love & kindness.

      I really appreciate your feedback.
And i do admit i am not blaming a religion or a community
Just sharing an incident which hurt my mind in front of my eyes.
It doesnt mean to say at all that Muslim is a bad religion.
Really i have a large pool of muslim friends including you.....kindly dont feel offended.
