Now that gay marriages are legalised lets hope that since they can't produce offsprings let them adopt orphan children. And thus reduce the numbr of orphans in this world And give them a better life...:-; or will US find a technology to produce offspings from gay couples?? Ha ha got to wait and see!!..very funny the world's technology is heading way to disasters that i think finally we will end up at the start of stone age. Pathetic.!

Bomb Explodes at Kuwait on a Ramadhan Friday
It was really shocking news for me when i saw the flash news on television that a suicide bomber has exploded a bomb in a mosque at Kuwait City especially on a ramadhan friday.
Being a expat resident of Kuwait; and living here for more than 25 years this news has bewildered me so much. Its really so sad that innocent people and children are killed just on the basis of terrorism. GOD has gifted the Life to humans. Only he has the right to take it back. Humans killing each other is inhumane and totally unacceptable.
With a shattered heart and tearful eyes lets join our hands worldwide to pray in order to stop such terrorism and killings round the globe. IN THE HOPE SOMEDAY this is gonna end finally:-(.

Mother's Day
March 21st celebrated as mother's day in most of the Arab countries-###For all those I must specify the "REAL MOMS " out there--- who have experienced the entire 9 month changes in their bodies carrying two hearts, four legs and four hands.... And who hav experienced the prolonged stinging pain of labour, sleepless nights nursing their babies, nurturing and seeing them grow up. Such moms hav sacrificed their personal time spending it for their kids -- short baths, no movi...es, no parlours , short and broken sleeps etc.. Moms may not be the same charming happy go lucky girl she used to be but ofcourse******Hey Woman you are an awsome creation of God... Even when the entire world looks upon women as inferior to men.. Please be reminded that "A woman is a symbol of power, God's finest and beautiful creation without whom no creation is possible".... Advanced mothers day wishes.....
GOOD FRIDAY
Dear All; please spare a 5 minute of yours to read my post. Its high time we change our mindset. Mayb my post might be like a slashing sword on the neck of many christian devotees but these thoughts have been disturbing and lingering in mind for several months that i felt today "Good Friday" was the best day to post it.... I am born to a christian catholic family , so i follow this religion. Else ...thought wise i accept all religions and am a believer of one God - 1 religion!! Not touchng into that aspect i wil summarize my point.... I remember my childhood days in kuwait in 1990's, when for christmas, ash wednesday , maundy thursday, good friday and easter all catholics of kuwait went to a single church , worshipped the single Jesus , prayed sincerely and celebrated feasts. The prayer and worship was sincere and heartful. Later i grew up to become a devotee who goes daily to church, personal prayers, bible reading etc... As years went by i witnessed something ... Which reminded me of this verse from the bible .. "When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided his cloths among four of them" (John 19:23) ... Like wise i saw the division of the church into different rites casts organizations, separate groups etc. ( syro malabar, malankara, latin etc.) ... Which in the days ahead started raising questions within me... Which caused me to stop going daily to the church just to witness the arrongance and the show off of theirspecific groups and tribes... Funniest part --- couldnt stop laughing wheni saw facebook group pages posting pics of thecurch activities of their own groups sharing and liking each day.... Where is the world heading to ?! Is this called the new generation thought?! Are v being taught automatically by our society to move into separate groups and fight against each other worst part being withing the Same religion!!!!! This is insane !!! I have restricted myself to my personal homely prayers and searching answers for these.... Dont you think that by these activities we are crucifying jesus again and again the cross ??? If he was here would he wish to see us as a whole single happy family ? Or all this ?! Think please think ! All i have to say " Father, forgive them.... For they know not what they do!!! .....
Happy Easter
EASTER reminisces me of the PHOENIX bird. I came to know about this bird if my memory is correct in my 9th grade of school in the chapter named "The phoenix". Rebirth of the bird from its ashes. Did this bird really exist? Or is it a myth only? Both ways i wish i could see this bird today somwhere anywhere amongst us!### so that the true meaning of easter would be fulfilled!!! Happy easter to all the world
Taj Mahal in Kuwait
Taj Mahal of India is widely recognized as "the jewel of art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage". It's a unique monument built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and one of the best examples of Islamic architecture.
Millions visit India to get glimpses of this unique architectural beauty and this includes a large number from Middle East. How about se...eing the beauty of Taj Mahal here itself in Kuwait?
Inspired by the architecture of Taj Mahal, Kuwait has designed a mosque exactly like Taj Mahal, a replica. The mosque is a bigger version of India's Taj Mahal. It's 3 times bigger.
Sadeeqa Fatimatul Zahra Mosque, a prayer place for the Kuwaitis, looks similar to India's Taj Mahal from the outside. Located at Block 6, Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, West of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, the mosque is already gaining a reputation as one of Kuwait's most distinctive buildings and is called the "Taj Mahal of Kuwait".
It's learned that Hassan Johar, a Member of Parliament, who was behind this unique project here, received the blessing of the Indian embassy before building the mosque.
Internal design of the mosque differs from the original. It consists of carvings of verses from the Quran. The four minarets and central dome of the mosque are adorned with brass crescents. The main prayer area is at the ground floor with library and utilities. It has a separate prayer hall for the women in the first floor. The Mosque was officially opened for the public in 2011.
The beauty of the mosque in middle of the desert is mesmerizing. It's a proud feeling for all Indians here in Kuwait to witness a replica of the Taj Mahal in Kuwait. Those who have not seen the Taj Mahal in India, they can now see it in Kuwait. ----- Times of India

Earthquake
I've been disturbed by this word "Earthquake" since past few days after seeing flash news on tv and lots of heartbreaking facebook and watsapp shares about the recent disaster which has happend and is still happening at Nepal. My heartfelt condolences to all the departed souls. No words can express the grief felt in the heart..stil..... I just closed my eyes for a second and It made me to think ...that what if an earthquake happened right now...? In my 6th floor apartment building; what would i do? All humans become selfish when it comes to a point when death is in front of their eyes. All of us would think only abt fleeing away with our own lives. In my case; i saw the first scene --- of course my first preference wil be my son ---- So i felt we all shud be a little aware of how to react in such situations. I browsed through various articles in google and finally found this very helpful. If you can spare some time instead of sharing the posts of the deadly disaster..... just read it and increase your awareness and knowledge.........Gaining som new knowledge has always been a passion for me now and then and alwes..... Ultimately our fate will be decided from above. !!! #Still jus sharing some piece of info..in case of an emergency.*. http:// www.getprepared.gc.ca/cnt/ rsrcs/pblctns/rthqks-wtd/ #s2
An Evening with Mrs. Roy
I remember those school days in the 1990’s ,when; at the slightest sound of her footsteps the students of United Indian School (UIS) including myself used to rush into the classrooms and sit in pin drop silence with our hands and legs shivering. Years have passed and today when I sat in front of her, I no longer shivered and on the other hand I felt so comfortable in her presence and experienced the warmth of a mother. It was indeed God’s blessing that I got a chance to meet and have a chat with the one of the most strongest pillars and backbone of United Indian School (UIS), Mrs. Susan Roy, who has been serving as the principal for more than 20 years. I would define her as “A woman so strong in her values, and a perfect example for a woman’s day”.
Always wearing a warm smile and being tip top in her dressing with the perfectly worn stiff saree, Mrs. Roy is basically a Keralite but she was born and brought up in Mumbai. She did her schooling and higher education at Mumbai itself. Her ambition was to work in the medical or para-medical field but unfortunately her mother being a nurse objected to it and didn’t want her pursue in a similar field. Her father who was working in the defense, always regarded teachers in high esteem and encouraged her to join the teaching field. She completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology and joined Teachers Training Course. After her studies she worked in Mumbai for 18 years as a teacher followed by which she was promoted to Supervisor position in the last two years in the arts section.
After marriage she migrated to Kuwait with her husband . Her aunt who was also in Kuwait promoted her entry in Kuwait. She was planning to join as a teacher at UIS but the chairman had other plans and it didn’t work out. Finally, after the invasion took place in Kuwait, in 1992 she joined as the Vice Principal and was later promoted to the post of principal in 1994 and since then she has been efficiently handling and managing her role as the principal. She reminisces her own principal where she worked back in Mumbai as her role model.
When questioned upon how she faced different challenges each day, she said with a big smile that challenges are growing each day and in the earlier years UIS was a smaller group and the interaction between the teachers and students was easier and children were easy to manage. But as years passed by the group expanded as it is today. Through the suffering and hard work of many, the strength of the school has expanded to a huge amount and it has become little tougher than the earlier days but still manageable.
In her roles as a mother, wife and principal, her biggest support is her husband who is very understanding and toleates her. She has one daughter Neha who is a speech therapist and was running a clinic at Bangalore. At present, she is working and settled at Netherlands since past three years
For the query on her “Vision about new generation” she said that she found the new generation children very much self-centered and selfish and emphasized that children are so oblivious of what’s happening around. The new generation is changing. According to Mrs. Roy, for future career options for girls, unlike the earlier days it is not restricted to any specific fields like teaching or nursing, instead it is wide open for them to choose any as women have stepped their foot and conquered into almost all fields. She wishes to advise the children passing out from Kuwait and going back home for higher studies is that they must learn to equip themselves with values that will help them to fight, face challenges and survive the new environment, as they are being thrown into an open world. And upon asking about her job satisfaction till date , she replies, she has yet a long way to go.
“Seasons have changed! Children have grown up and have become mothers to produce offsprings to a new generation , but the strong pillar of UIS, Mrs. Roy has remained the same, substantially elegant now and then .” Being a principal for such a long time isn’t an easy venture and her hard work , dedication and motivation is indeed a great inspiration to all the women, round the world. A big hats off to Mrs. Roy.
My heartfelt wishes to this gorgeous personality and I wish her all the luck in her future endeavors.

Oh! The poor Flowers
Flowers – The Real Martyrs. Before they wholly enjoy their blossoming and vibrant youth; they are killed to be beautifully arranged into various bouquets. The ones welcoming a newborn life into this earth, the well-wishing ones on different happy occasions like birthdays, valentines days and weddings and finally the farewell ones to bid good bye on the DEATH day. Yet until their last breath; without complaints or frowns they spread such lovely fragrance and make us smile. Humans ought to ape the flowers—Stop your complaints and enjoy and live your life with no regrets – At least your life is not snatched away by someone.
Selling or Wedding?
Kerala Women’s Commission (Vanitha Commission) Proposal to limit the
Expenditure on Weddings to 5 Lakhs only
I couldn’t find any FB/ watsapp/
twitter shares or much discussion forums on the proposal lately put forward by
the vanitha commission of Kerala to radically cut down the “Big Fat Wedding”
expenditure to 5 lakhs. So I must assume that it might be because 95% of the
Keralite population do not second their decision??? Or it went so unnoticed??.....
Strange!!!!!
Me as a woman and a forward
like-minded thinker; I highly second the proposal but still there are some
discrepancies that needs to be rectified in it which I have mentioned below.
And I really aspired that this proposal should have come into effect many years
back itself so that many parents like mine as well as many others with one, two
, three or more daughters could have highly benefitted from this proposal.
The Latest trends of big fat
weddings include – Event Management professionals who take control of the
entire wedding day right from the point where the bride and groom wear their
dresses till the point where they end up to their bedroom for the first night !
Pathetic situation. HD videos increasing day by day filmy shoots and even
honeymoon trips accompanied by the so called photography package. Where is the
new generation heading to?
Behind the scenes of pomp
weddings, we can see worried and tensed parents who have sleepless nights
thinking how to accommodate these expenses to please the damn society. And end
up taking loans and finally they end their lives repaying it. Then comes again the
rule of most keralite marriages the delivery EXPENSES of the first child born
to the family should be carried out by the bridegroom over loading the
bridegroom’s family. Then after 1 year
or two or more the couple ends up in divorce and then the parents have to run
behind the expense on court cases which have an increasing market demand
nowadays as well……………….
Let’s peep into the highlights of
the proposal:
(1) The
commission proposes that there should be only 1 function for marriage and
guests shall not cross 200. (This is very much unclear they have not mentioned
as to who will bear the cost of the function is it half each side ??) And
guests can’t be limited as well. (People complain a lot if they are missed out
in the invitation list and then take revenge by not inviting them to their
functions).
(2) Bride
shall not use more than 120g of gold (I guess this will be a blow on ‘all the Jewelers
of India and they will go on strike) I would suggest that this should be
reduced to “NO GOLD”.. Please someone explain to me the relation between gold
and a marriage…..!!! Who said that the bridegroom must wear gold in a marriage
event???? Is it written somewhere???
(3) Bridal
Wear should be less than 5000. (I think it would have been better if they put a
dress code better else can’t control it)
(4) Auditorium
rent should be less than 25000. (Most auditoriums are very costly. The govt
should provide halls for free to conduct mrrges).
(5) Decorations
should not cross 5000 (I have seen stages and auditoriums flooded with fresh
flowers which die the very next day. Poor Flowers)
(6) Invitation
card should not exceed 25rupees.( no need for invitation cards now emails
WhatsApp and phone calls are enough J)
(7)
Last but not the least if the proposal comes
into practice, those marriages not following it will be fined and the fine
amount will be used for the marriages of economically poor background people.
(Here also there lies is a loop hole as to if its conducted; so it does not
strictly ban such events, I would say the fine amounts and legal action should
be strong and higher so that people should back out at the very thought of
conduction one against the rules).
Kerala Film fame Rima Kallingal and Ashiq Abu set a best
example of a simple marriage which is highly appreciable. To the New Generation
who have not married yet; kindly open your eyes and thoughts wide open and set
examples like them rather than running behind the KOL (Kiss of Love) and HOL
(Hug of Love) strikes.
I saw many negative comments in the internet regarding
this proposal. To all those I have a few answers:
Neither parents nor children or relatives of
moderately rich families would prefer a simple marriage without pomp and show;
but by conducting one it would be a great milestone and relief to the less
fortunate and lessen their burden in conducting such society pleasing marriage
functions and thus will help in reducing the marginal graph between the rich
and poor. Be considerate of your fellow beings. If you have so much money please
don’t waste it on this marriage show offs and pomp; please secure it for your
children as bank savings as they step into their new life so it will back up
them and their life runs smoothly and not end up in divorces because I feel
most family issues arises due to financial short comings.
Let’s wait and see if this proposal will shed some
light into the public and gets approved by the Government or not….I wish it
would :-)
“Be the change you wish to see in the
world”- Mahatma Gandhi
End of the World ..? Is it very nigh?
End of the World…Is it very nigh???.
Hindu mythology does not believe
in a single event of destruction of the world. The vedic scriptures (Chapter 8;
Verse 17) describe about the four yugas, Satya-yuga (the golden age),
Treta-yuga (Silver age), Dvapara-yuga (bronze age) and finally Kali-yuga (iron
age of machines and quarrel). We are in the final age of Kali-yuga or “end of
the world”. . However that is just like the
end of winter. Just like the end of winter means the beginning of a new spring
season, there will be another Satya-yuga or golden age and everything in the
universe will be rejuvenated again. Thus, the hindus do not believe in the end
of the world, but in the cyclical nature of time.
When we have a look into Christianity; Mathew: 24; Verse 3 states
that when Jesus’ disciples asked about the end of the age; he responded by
listing several warning signs. The first would be massive religious deception,
including religious teachers who, while claiming to represent Him, would not
follow His teachings but would deceive many through a
counterfeit Christianity. He also said there would be many wars and other
conflicts between nations and ethnic groups. He also spoke of famines, massive
disease epidemics and earthquakes.
The Holy Quran share similar
beliefs to Christianity. The lesser signs in which we can highlight widespread
killing, earthquakes much more and the ten major signs such as The Dajjaal; the
descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary); Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj (Gog and
Magog) (Surah 18: 94,97, 21: 96).; three landslides, one in the east, one in
the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula; the smoke; the rising of the sun
from its place of setting; the Beast; and fire which will emerge from Yemen and
drive the people to their place of gathering. These
signs will appear one after another, and when the first of these signs appear,
the others will come soon after.
Scientists round the globe say
the end of the world will be due to a variety of causes such global warming,
asteroid, nuclear war, Pandemic threat,
Robot ascension, overpopulation etc…and the list goes on….
I find myself perplexed
correlating the above to the present scenarios.
Let me begin with the
incredibly hot climate of the gulf regions, myself residing in Kuwait we are
burning as inside an oven Oh..!Thanks to the air-condition technology else we
would have been dead like the hundreds who passed away in Delhi due to the heat
waves.
I cease to open the news channels depicting the
ceaseless inhumane attacks by ISIS, what not the shocking news of Jagendra
Singh, a journalist who was burnt alive for a facebook post and many daunting
incidents now and then. I wonder Who has given people in the earth to take the
life of another person when he has not given it to them??? I would express it
as heights of insanity. This is truly unacceptable.
We can’t forget the natural
catastrophes that have been occurring with the recent ones such as drought
emergency in Oregon, landslide in Colombia, earthquake in Nepal, heavy flooding
in Oman etc. The statement—“fire which will emerge from Yemen and drive the people to their place of
gathering” reminds me of the Yemen – Saudi war. Also, the rising viral ailments
such as Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in
various countries like Korea, Saudi Arabia etc are to be noted.
“Life is a preparation for the future; and the
best preparation for the future is to live as if there were none.”

Ramadhan Kareem
The 12 months of the Islamic Calendar are
Muharram (Forbidden); Safar (Void); Rabi Al-Awwal (First Spring); Rabi Al-Akhir
(Last Spring); Jumada Al-Awla (the first of parched land); Jumada Al-Akhira(the
first of parched land); Rajab (Respect); Shaban (scattered); Ramadan (Burning);
Shawal (Raised)Dhu Al-Qadaah(the one of truce) and Dhu Al-Hijjah(the one of
pilgrimage).
Tomorrow we will enter the 9th
month of the Islamic Calendar named RAMADAN. One of the five pillars of Islam, in
which all Muslims worldwide observe one
month of fasting to
commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to prophet Muhammad.
Ramadan marks the month of Suhoor and
Iftar (pre-fast meal and fast- breaking meal) along with Fajr (dawn prayer) and
Tarawih (Night Prayer).
The night of power or LaylatAl-Qadr is
the one which impressed me a lot. This is the night in which Muslims believe
the first revelation of the Quran was sent down to Muhammad stating that this
night was "better than one thousand months, as stated in Chapter 97:3 of
the Qu'ran. It comes in the odd dates during last ten days of ramadan, the
night of the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th. Muslims
believe that on this night, God blesses everyone, forgives all sins, grants all
prayers, and angels come down to earth.
I had a chance to talk with an Islamic
scholar and I asked him if I pray on these nights; will I be rewarded or will I
get blessings? I was taken aback when he answered me that you need to be a Muslim
for that.
Ironically I searched the first verses of
Quranic revelation to find an answer. Below are the verses from SURAT AL ALAQ.
“Recite in the name of your Lord who created –
Created man from a clinging substance.
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous –
Who taught by the pen –
Taught man that which he knew not.
No! [But] indeed, man transgresses
Because he sees himself self-sufficient
Indeed, to your Lord is the return
Have you seen the one who forbids
A servant when he prays?
Have you seen if he is upon guidance
Or enjoins righteousness?
Have you seen if he denies and turns away –
Does he not know that Allah sees?
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the
forelock –
A lying, sinning forelock
Then let him call his associates
We will call the angels of Hell
No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to
Allah ].
I respect all religions and believe in one God. To my dismay
I couldn’t find any answers to lot of my questions lingering in my mind...Still
on a journey to find the truth or the light….
Wishing all a blessed Ramadan !!!!!!
